A human trafficking victim advocate at a local non-profit, Allie Mercer has been working in the field of victim services for over 5 years. Allie has a demonstrated history of working with Human Trafficking, Child Abuse/Neglect, Sexual Assault, Mass Violence and Foster Care. Allie is skilled in crisis intervention, case management, written and oral reports, and coordinating program evaluations.
She is the founder of the Oakland County Survivor to Thriver Initiative, attempting to fill the gaps of financial assistance for personalized needs of human trafficking victims. Allie is also a founding member of the Michigan Ops Team Investigation Violent Exploitation (M.O.T.I.V.E), working in collaboration with local law enforcement to coordinate victim-centered, trauma-informed responses to investigations and raids. A proficient human services professional with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Oakland University. Allie is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Master of Science in Law Enforcement Intelligence and Analysis.
Outside of this field, Allie devotes her time to coaching a local competitive high school dance team program and is an alumni leadership mentor through Oakland University.
