Sparrow Freedom Project (SFP) invites you to our first annual weekend conference and retreat in Clarkston, Michigan. This year's theme is “Connect - Equip - Mobilize". As you may already know, Human Trafficking is very much alive here in Michigan. Our hope is to connect and equip our participants with the necessary tools and resources to inspire action in their own communities and workplaces. The weekend will include speakers involved in the anti-slavery movement, breakout sessions/workshops, dedicated 'Conversation Rooms' for open group discussions, early morning yoga with FitPoint, art exhibit, silent auction, and more. Get your creative on and sign up for Friday night's optional make-and-take tile coaster class with Traveling Brushes, or join in for some outdoor therapeutic drumming while sitting by the fire pit (weather permitting). On Saturday night, enjoy a special live performance by Lost Voices, a group of musicians who help at-risk/abused/neglected children find healing through songwriting and music.
Originally designed as a college for Jesuit priests, Colombiere Conference & Retreat Center is nestled on 420 rolling acres of mature pines and hardwoods in Clarkston, Michigan. Find some time to relax and enjoy their many outdoor features, such as their heated swimming pool, beautiful nature walking trail, basketball half-court, and fire pit. One of Michigan's finest golf courses, Shepherd's Hollow, is located on the premises for those interested in golfing before or after the event.
Funds raised from the event will help us continue to serve and educate Michigan communities and professionals, as well as the development of SFP's healing arts and youth prevention programs.
